About Amanda Cooley
Amanda graduated in 2008 and holds a 1000 hr certification throughThe Yoga Studio College of Canada. She makes her home in North Bay, Ontario and teaches at Northern Flow studio. She is a leader in the yoga community, bringing together like minded people by organizing retreats, workshops and events to promote yoga and wellness.
Graduating in 2008, she lived at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in India, immersing herself in Bhakti Yoga: the yoga of devotion.
Amanda is a speaker and workshop facilitator educating others on the benefits of yoga. She mentors budding teachers and others through teacher training programs, podcast shows and talks. She appeared in BIG Adventure 2017, a tourism magazine for Northeastern Ontario where she showcased the sport Stand-up Paddle boarding. She was also the first to pioneer SUP Yoga (stand-up paddleboard yoga) in her home town of North Bay.
In 2018, Amanda graciously accepted an award for Enterprising Women – Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In that same year she began to host monthly Moon Goddess Workshops focusing on women’s health.
Amanda is skilled at modifying yoga for each individual, no matter what stage of life or limitation. She cues her students to seamlessly enter postures maintaining safety and comfort.
