Learn How to Meditate
with Val Petrich
Sunday, September 14th, 2025
2:00 pm - 5:00 PM

Want to do less with better results? Feel like you’re juggling too much? Have a sense something is tapping you on the shoulder for change?
That tap is probably intuition, asking you to listen. And stillness and silence point the way. Meditation simplifies and enhances our life in so many areas. It strengthens our immune system, declutters our thoughts and gives clarity of purpose. It is both a spiritual practice and a scientific practice that yields amazing results if we are patient. Meditation is a practice of tapping into our wellspring of consciousness. When we sit quietly (easier said than done) the inner chambers of intuition, wisdom and guidance blossom and become a clear guiding light. It’s just like the gurus tell us but like everything else, it is practice.
Join me in learning the practical aspects to set up a meditation practice – how to start, sustain
and meet the challenges that present themselves.
Recommended for beginners or those with a regular practice who want guidance.

BOOK SIGNING

OM Canada: An Intimate Glimpse at Yoga’s Firsts is a celebration of yoga's history in Canada. Here are profiles of sixty of the country's yoga innovators-the firsts to set up a practice in their area, start a provincial association, launch a TV show, write a book, build an ashram, open a studio, etc. These are the passionate souls who ushered in the practice of yoga in a post-war era, when contemporaries still perceived them as loners and loons.
Scattered across Canada, these yoga pioneers forged their practices for personal healing and spiritual fulfilment based on conviction and despite lasting skepticism. Their efforts ushered in an age of spiritual curiosity that set the stage for yoga and meditation's acceptance as the bona fide spiritual practices and healing modalities we know today.
